Drag Show 2015
National Coming Out Week
Hello!
The National Coming Out Week planning committee is pleased to announce open calls for the 4th annual Drag Show. As a past participant, we invite you to join us as a participant or as a guest during the live show.
Your past role in NCOW has allowed the Drag Show to easily excel as a much anticipated event. Take a moment to consider being a part of 2015 Drag cast. If you choose to do so, RSVP to through this email below by September 9, 2015. This RSVP is ONLY for those wanting to be in the show again. If you know of any other person(s) interested, please direct them to the email above. Our theme for this year is I define [me].
To give you some background information, National Coming Out Week (NCOW) was formed in 2009 to bring more knowledge about LGBTQIA issues and visibility to the campus. This will be the second year for the NCOW committee & Temple University to host such an event of advocacy programming. The NCOW Drag Show is a non-profit event being implemented for educational purposes, to increase visibility and support for those in the LGBTQIA community and its allies.
This is an excellent opportunity for performers to gain additional experience on a large stage and showcase themselves in front of hundreds of people. We will have a photographer and possible video recording occurring during the show.
In the past, NCOW events have received a wide range of media and Campus Philly coverage. We encourage performers to be themselves in a tasteful manner, but showcase this area of the community. Each participant will receive the I define [me] 2015 NCOW shirt as well as other items of appreciation.

RSVPs are enabled for this event.
What is my time committment
Each performer will be expected to be present at a run through of the show, which will last for approximately 1.5 hours. On the night of the event, each performer should expect to arrive 1 hour in advance to the start of the show. This will allow a live run through in dress.
Performers MUST submit music to Rodney Prad at nprad@temple.edu by September 24 to reduce any repetitive songs. Each performer, excluding the hosting person will only perform once for a 4-6 minute time frame.
Who will be present at the NCOW Drag Show?
The NCOW Drag show is being advertised to the entire Temple community. There will be students, faculty, and staff members presents. There will also be other institutional partner schools present to experience the event. Again, you are encouraged to invite your friends and family as there will be seating available for up to 600 people throughout the Temple Performing Arts Center.
