What do chemical engineers do?

Chemical engineers use math, chemistry, physics, and biology to solve problems that involve the use of chemicals and other products, including food, drugs, and fuel. Chemical engineers may manage operations at a chemical plant to ensure ideal plant operation. A process engineer is a type of chemical engineer that is responsible for overseeing and organizing chemical processes. A design engineer is a type of chemical engineer that designs plants to meet clients' needs, taking into consideration funding, government regulations, and safety standards. Project engineers are in charge of the building of plants.
