We had a great short week! My homeroom went on the field trip to Green Acres and it was so much fun! The students were really engaged with learning about fossils, rocks, and minerals and how we use them in our day-to-day lives. In math class, we are continuing to discuss and find equivalent ratios and have moved on to comparing ratios.
Thursday: Finished Lesson 7 "Mixing Paint, Part 1", Practice on Desmos 6.2.07
Friday: OST Warm-Up, Lesson 8 Notes, Lesson 8 on paper "World records"

It was another great short week in the books! We worked on some practice activities for informational writing, and continued reading our mystery novel on yellow fever. This coming week we will resume our vocabulary practices / quizzes, and will work through more Amplify content :) Have a great weekend!

We had a great week this week in Science! Students reviewed the expectations that they set for themselves at the beginning of the year & added on some things that they would like to see. We reviewed our concepts of matter that we had covered before the break, & started discussing density. We did a lab with vegetable oil, water, corn syrup, & food coloring to see how dense each one was. We will wrap up our unit on matter on Tuesday & have our first quiz of the quarter on Wednesday! The students will be provided a study guide on Monday. Have a great weekend!
