CHS Connected Ed Scavenger Hunt
Week 1: December 1st
Overview
This scavenger hunt is a fun way for you to win prizes, wear jeans, and learn about using technology resources like Google and Twitter. It is not mandatory. Just a fun way to create friendly competition in your department and throughout the campus.
Scavenger Hunt Prizes
50 points - Your name will be entered in a drawing for a prize.
100 points - Free JEAN Day (the date will be chosen by the IT team)
150 points - Your name will be entered in a drawing for a prize.
200 points - Free JEANS Week (the week will be chosen by the IT team)
The person with the most points on each campus will win a grand prize. If there is a tie, their names will be placed in a drawing to choose one winner.

You do not have to do all of the tasks, you will however only be given points for the tasks you have successfully completed. You can complete this weeks assignments at anytime during the length of the scavenger hunt. They do not have to be completed in this week. Good luck and have fun! 80+ points on the line this week.

Create a Google Classroom Account
EVERYONE MUST START HERE!!! To participate you will need to join my Google Classroom. Follow the link and log into Google. If you do not have a CISD Google account, please contact me and I will create one for you. Join my class as a student. Watch this short video to learn how to join a Google classroom. The class code is: gqfhdl
Create a Twitter Account
Create a Twitter account and post your Twitter handle in the Google Classroom page for the class to see. If you already have an account, just post your handle for an easy 20 points.
Update your Twitter Picture and Profile
Change your Twitter picture to a photo of yourself. Update your profile. Include a screen shot and upload it as an attachment to the Google Classroom assignment.
Add the Google Extension
While in Chrome, go to the Chrome App Store (you can Google the website). Search for and add the Google Drive Extension (not the App but the extension). This will place a small Google Drive icon on the top right of your screen. Screen shot this in the Google Classroom assignment.
Hanging out GOOGLE style
Conduct a Google Hangout with someone that does not work at your same campus. Screen shot this in the Google Classroom assignment.
Peer Pressure
Get a colleague to participate in the challenge. Add their name to the post in Google Classrooms and say you peer pressured them. They also need to post their name and say who pressured them on the post. When they complete 2 assignments, you will get 5 points for EACH person you peer pressured.
