Dress Down Day Benefitting Thon
Dear Families and Friends of Our Lady of Victory Catholic School,
At our weekly school Mass today we heard a reading from the Gospel was about the Lord’s healing of the paralytic. Father George highlighted the action of the paralytic’s friends who, with tremendous love and effort, brought their friend to Jesus by climbing a roof and lowering the man down on a stretcher. Breaking open this scripture a little further, Father George spoke of the very action of these faithful friends as a prayer, and encouraged us all to be as persistent in our prayer as they had been.
Mass was opened by our 3rd Grade Strings Ensemble, who were outstanding. Mrs. Stolberg’s 5B class participated in the ministries of the liturgy and did a wonderful job (accompanied by 5A in song). Please know that you are welcome to join us every Friday at 9:00 (unless there is another holy day during the week).
Catholic Schools Week begins January 29 at the 9:30am Mass at OLV Church. Please plan to attend, and be on the lookout for requests for student participation for the Mass.
There are lots of additional opportunities to get involved in the school and the parish as you will see below. God bless and thanks so much for your support of our school.
In Christ,
Jim Hoy
