Trash Talk

NO DUMPING: Please do not dump any trash or other items in any of our retention ponds or wooded spaces.

RED OAK: Red Oak has had complaints about their truck leaving oil spills on our streets, as well as loose trash coming out of their trucks and falling onto the streets. Red Oak has agreed to come this week to clean the oil.

To keep our streets clean, please bag all trash (not recycling) to keep loose trash from falling on them, and do not put liquid oil or paint in your trash bin. Please follow the guidelines for disposal of hazardous materials.

See links below for a reminder of what can be put in trash and recycling, and proper disposal of items.

Great family activity: Take a walk in the community with gloves and a trash bag and pick up trash from our common areas, retention pond areas, and wooded lots. It takes a collective effort to keep our home looking beautiful. Everyone can contribute.

Dog Poop reminder

  • Your dog must be leashed at all times.
  • Please remember to bring bags on all walks and clean up after your dog.
  • Please travel with your poop bag and don't leave it on the street.
  • Please do not dispose of dog poop in someone else's trash bin. Dispose of it in your own trash bin.

Traffic calming measures

The radar control speed signs were installed on March 23rd, 2022. The County will do another traffic study after the signs have been active for 3 months. We are approaching that three month mark. The county has slated the next traffic study for after the 4th of July holiday. We should receive information on the results of the study around July 13th.

Drag racers are a police issue. Please call the police if you see or hear drag racing happening on Shiloh Road.

ACC fine reminder

Changes to house or property structure must go before the ACC Board before any work begins. Failure to get approval will result in a $200 fine, stoppage of the work, possible repainting if color is not approved.

New Fine implementation starting August 1st, 2022 for Failure to resolve Property Issues identified by CMA.

New $200 fine effective August 1st, 2022 for failure to resolve property issues after 90 days following written notification from CMA. If you notify CMA of a plan to resolve the issue, the process will be put on hold. Failure to contact CMA with a plan will result in the $200 fine after 90 days of no resolution to the issue. An additional $200 will be charged every 90 days if the issue continues to be unresolved.

Two Amendments to By-Laws

The lawyers are currently working on the 2 amendments that the Board is putting up for a vote at the annual meeting:

  • The first amendment will guarantee that if a Board of Directors of Shiloh Farms decide to terminate trash services, the additional dues will cease.
  • The second amendment deals with increasing the neighborhood's ability to use electronic voting within the confines of a meeting (having a virtual voting option during the annual meeting or having the ability to call a virtual meeting and do a virtual vote within the confines of that meeting).

The Board is also looking into the possibility of converting to a POA (Property Owners Association) instead of an HOA (Home Owners Association). We will be providing information in the coming months about why we would consider bringing this to the neighborhood for a vote.

Reminder of Surveillance Cameras

Shiloh Farms now has multiple cameras at multiple locations in the common areas (including the pool area). Any damage caused by an owner or an owner's child will be billed to the owner.

Pool issues

Please be patient with ongoing pool issues. Because of the intense heat wave, it has been very difficult to keep the pool level in check. Once the water goes below the skimmers, it causes increased bugs. The pool people are understaffed and overworked and are doing their best to maintain the pool water level. The Board is aware of all pool issues and we are working with the pool company to provide the best possible pool experience for our residents.

Graduation banner

The graduation banner in front of the clubhouse will be removed early July. If you have not gotten your picture with your graduate and the sign, please go as soon as possible.
