FRONTIER EAGLE NEWS
April 2022
A Note from the FMS Administrative Team
We hope that each of you enjoyed a restful and relaxing spring break! The time for rejuvenation was much needed. Since our return, our students and staff have hit the ground running as we head into the final quarter of the 2021-2022 school year! Fourth quarter will be busy, especially as we near May, during which we will administer the annual MAP assessment along with our final iReady tests of the year. For now, we are looking forward to settling into our five-day routine as we embark on the home stretch! Please know how much we appreciate your continued support at home.
Sincerely,
Dr. Laura Rowe, Principal
Mr. Kevin Kuehl, 7th Grade Assistant Principal
Mr. Stan Johnson, 8th Grade Assistant Principal
Upcoming Dates
There will be no school for students on Friday, April 15, as staff will be engaged in professional learning throughout the course of the day.
MAP Testing Information
Seventh Grade Students:
Monday, May 2-Friday, May 6
Eighth Grade Students:

Thank you for your help in making sure that students are in attendance during their designated testing days. In the event that students are absent, we will work with them on an individual basis to make up any missed portions of the MAP. We appreciate your continued support!
Congratulations, Mrs. Debbie Sethaler!
After-School Academic Assist
This is a friendly reminder that our After-School Academic Assist (AAA) Program is in full-swing again throughout the second semester. If students need after-school help, they may report to the following rooms on each respective day:
Monday: Petty (812)
Tuesday: Finley (403)
Wednesday: Chrum (402)
Thursday: VanHoy (706)
Each session will run from 2:35-3:35 PM. Students will need for their rides to pick them up at 3:35 PM in the front of the building.

Raptor Security System Information
Part of keeping students and staff safe is knowing who is in our building at all times, so we are rolling out a system to allow us to do just that. Effective January 24, 2022, WSD visitors will check in to our buildings using Raptor, a new visitor management system designed to assist with building security.
What does that mean for you?
When you arrive in a WSD building as a visitor, you will be asked to scan your ID, take a photo and complete the management system’s check-in process.
Raptor will screen the information against sex offender databases and locally customized lists of banned or potentially threatening individuals, instantly alert school officials to a threatening presence, and maintain a searchable log of all visitors.
Once approved, you will get a customized visitor badge to wear while in the building.
Thank you for your support as we roll this out and enhance school safety protocols!
Parents or guardians who are only picking up a child for the day will not need to use the visitor management system.
