Digital Learning Day at Centennial High School
What Is Our Plan?
Before Digital Learning Day
**Teachers will discuss the Digital Day assignment with students on or before Thursday, March 8, 2018. Teachers will discuss with students the importance of managing their time wisely so they have ample time to complete all assignments.
Digital Learning Day - Friday, March 9, 2018
**Teachers will post the assignments in Google Classroom no later than 9 a.m. Friday morning. Teachers will be available Friday morning 9-10 a.m. and Friday afternoon 1-2 p.m. to address questions and assist students via email.
After Digital Learning Day
**Teachers will begin reviewing assignments and giving feedback to students upon their return. Teachers will meet with students who were unable to complete assignments due to no internet access or device.
**Parents - Please email your child's teachers if your child did not have access to the internet Friday, March 9th.

How Will Teachers Use Instructional Technology?
**Teachers will create a variety of assignments including both low prep and high prep assignments. An example of a low prep assignment would be students logging into the ALEKS system and completing math problems that cover the standard they're currently working on in class.
**Any example of a high prep assignment would be a teacher creating an online module for students to complete, creating a video explaining key concepts, and/ or answering questions via Skype.
What Will Happen If My Child Doesn't Have Internet Access at Home?
How Will Students Who Receive Accommodations Be Supported?
**Students with Individualized Learning Plans, 504 Plans, and TPC Plans will be afforded every accommodation and modification that is written in their educational plans either before or upon their return from the Digital Learning Day.
How Can Students Effectively Manage Their Time That Day?
**Students should plan to spend approximately three hours to complete all assignments. **Students can complete all assignments at one time or can complete assignments throughout the day.
**If teachers create cross curricular activities, they will communicate this information to their students on or before Thursday, March 8, 2018.
