Social Worker's Quote of the Week
Health Office
Greetings from the health office! It's been a busy week here, we worked with the 4th-grade classrooms and discussed the Heimlich Maneuver. All students should have brought home a letter discussing the Heimlich Heroes program that we did. They should also have a trifold packet they filled out. The students were able to practice on a manikin! They had a lot of fun while learning valuable, life-saving information.
Continue to remind your students to cover their mouths when coughing and sneezing by using their elbow and kleenexes. Also, remind them to wash their hands for a minimum of 20 seconds (singing the alphabet or happy birthday two times!!). Also, continue to monitor your student(s) if they are sick. Do not send them to school if they have had a fever, vomiting, and/or diarrhea.
In order to help prevent the spread of illness PLEASE adhere to our 24-hour rule! If a student has a fever of 100, keep them home! *Students need to stay home until their fever has been gone without medicine for 24 hours. Returning to school too soon may slow recovery and make others sick!*
