Maker Space
For ages 8-11 at Mendham Township Elementary School
Come tinker and create!
Maker Space is a learning environment where children can tinker, design, and create together. It's a natural complement to a STEM program.
In this class we will reuse everyday materials in exciting ways and encourage experimentation, and open-ended exploration. Some of the areas of investigation may include:
- Simple machines and a marshmallow catapult
- Simple circuits and mini light sabers
- A variety of science concepts with paper hoop gliders and balloon powered cars.
Making mistakes along the way promotes real learning!
Eight Thursdays starting January 14th
After school from 3:45 - 4:45
Taught by Erica Parke
Join with a friend for double the fun!
