Persevering Through Difficult Times

We would like to send a heartfelt message to our families to say THANK YOU for your understanding, flexibility and support for our our school, especially in the last two weeks. You have been nothing short of incredible. As COVID cases have increased, we recognize the burden put on families when students need to recover from COVID or quarantine. This has been a difficult stretch for many reasons, and we feel so very blessed to persevere alongside such an incredible community!

We are optimistic that this challenging time we are in will not last forever, and look forward to partnering with you through whatever the next chapters will bring.

PTA Enhancements are Coming!

Thanks to YOU, and your support for our PTA's fall Fun-Da-Thon fundraiser, we have some exciting things happening for our school! Our goal is to utilize funds to enhance experiences for each child this year (and into the future!)! Here are three exciting enhancements we can provide our students as a result of your support!

  • Due to our increased amount of activity outside, and the addition of a second recess break, Pinewood will have access to classroom sets of high-quality playground equipment such as footballs, soccer balls and cones. Game on! In addition, we have a new blacktop which is ripe for some fun, colorful games for any grade level. Game stencils will provide even more options for play outside!

  • At Pinewood, we are proud that our students see themselves as readers, and enjoy listening to read-alouds from Ms. Sandy, classroom teachers, or other special guests. New soft-seating furniture will provide an amazing read-aloud, and silent reading experience for students during the day and at events like Family Library Night.

  • Also, these funds will support an in-house or outdoor field trip for each grade level this year. We are excited to bring these special experiences back for our students!

Thank you again for your support with this year’s Fun-DaThon - We can't wait for our students to experience these great enhancements!
