mother's day: a celebration for our mothers!
For their love, patience, and care for us, our mother's should be celebrated every day, not just today! In the month of May, we not only honor our own mothers, but the mother of Jesus. Our Blessed Virgin Mary is a model of love for us all. It is an incredible gift that the Easter season includes the Marian month of May. As we continue to celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus, it is only fitting to celebrate His mother and our mother too.
This Mother's Day, show your mom, grandma, and all the "mothers" in your life you care! Happy Mother's Day to all our mothers!
mass readings for sunday, may 8: Fourth Sunday of Easter
This weekend's Gospel message reminds us of the clear image of Jesus as the Good Shepard. This image demonstrates his lordship and leadership of His flock as he explains, “My sheep hear My voice.”
As the Lord's true sheep, we follow and obey Him because we know and recognize His voice. Jesus said, “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me." Jesus is our protector and Shepherd who guards and guides, who feeds and protects us from the dangers of life and defends us from anyone who tries to take us away from Him. Although at times, we know it is difficult to stay focused and be open to His message. However, we are assured of this gift as we stay connected to hearing his voice!

If your child chooses to create these crafts or any other crafts, please send us pictures of your Mothers Day celebrations together! We will spotlight these photos in next week's newsletter!
