Pauba Valley Flight Plan
October 2, 2020
Happy Friday Pilots!
I can't believe that we are already into the fall season and half way through our first semester! We want to thank you again for your patience and grace as we all struggled through the transition to online learning and experienced a variety of technical difficulties these last several weeks. The number of visits to the PVES help line (google meet) and daily phone calls has reduced dramatically and we are hoping that means we have been able to address your needs and concerns. Please continue to reach out to us daily from 8:30 to 3:30 at 951-302-5140 or to our PVES Help Line Tuesday - Friday from 8:45 - 12:15. The PVES help line can be found on our school website. We are here to help and address technical, academic and social emotional issues. We have a team of staff members ready, willing and able to support our students and families.
Parent/Teacher conferences will be the week of October 12th. Students will be following a modified day schedule during that week in order for teachers to meet with parents and guardians. Modified day schedule for TK/K will be 8:55am-1:00pm and grades 1 - 5 will be 8:55am-1:35pm. We are hoping for 100% parent conference attendance and look forward to parents and teachers working collaboratively for the success of our students. Conferences will be focused on addressing any technical issues that still exist, social emotional concerns our students and families may be experiencing and the creation of a language arts and math goal for each student. Progress reports will be sent home that week via email for students that are currently at risk in reading, writing and/or math.

3 Pauba Valley online programs for students to access from home
Book Flix/True Flix
Book Flix is great for TK-3 and True Flix is great for 3-5, however, anyone can access either link. From the PVES website, click on the Academics tab and click on Library. The Library page is still "under construction" but the links for these programs are ready to be used. The Username is Pauba and the Password is Valley. Enjoy!
Sumdog is great for all K-5th grade students at Pauba Valley. Sumdog is in thousands of schools worldwide and is designed to motivate students to work on math, ELA and spelling. It’s simple to use Sumdog. Either log in through your browser, or download the apps for iPad & iPhone, Android or Kindle. Your child can practice any time, anywhere!
Raz Plus +
Another great program is Raz Plus (+) from Learning A-Z. There are more than 3,000 leveled books and readers available in multiple formats, Raz-Plus makes it easier than ever before to strengthen the connection between what is being taught and what students are practicing. Raz-Plus provides a personalized library of leveled books and additional reading passages.
