Quote & Analysis For "The Lottery" by Shirley Jackson

  • “A stone hit her on the side of the head. Old Man Warner was saying, "Come on, come on, everyone." Steve Adams was in the front of the crowd of villagers, with Mrs. Graves beside him” (Jackson 7).

  • This helps supports my stance in favor as why the citizens should change the current laws, because the citizens shouldn't be killed from violence. It also shows death.

Quote & Analysis For "Harrison Bergeron" by Kurt Vonnegut

  • “Diana Moon Glampers loaded the gun again. She aimed it at the musicians and told them they had ten seconds to get their handicaps back on” (Vonnegut 5).

  • This helps supports my stance in why the citizens should change the current laws and regulations. This quote also shows death but they should have the right to live.

Conclusion

Citizens should be allowed to have the right to life by demonstrating that Citizens should be able to make laws and end the tradition. The most important point to me for the coming election are who will be the best fit to be a president for the U.S, and what changes will be made to make our country better. I am most scared of Donald Trump becoming president, because I feel that he will make our country worse and cause more problems.
