Gators of the Week - Work hard. Get smart. Do good.

Gators of the Week: Gator Band Wins Lower State 4A Championship

Work hard. With a top score of 90.65 Gator Band won its second consecutive 4A Lower State Championship on Saturday. The show Mirage stole the show at White Knoll High School. They will compete this weekend for the 4A state title at Spring Valley High School.

Gators of the Week: Level 1 and Level 2 students from Center for Law and Global Policy Win Big at Clemson's Model UN Conference

Get smart: Coach Burgess, Ms. Howell and Ms. Dooley took level 1 and 2 Center students to Clemson University this weekend for the annual Model UN Conference and competition. A first time trip and entry for this competition, our center students shined and took home many first place wins. Lauren Garrison won the General Assembly. Austin Tindal, Macy Cope, Hynsoo Cho, Chevonne Hassell, Madison Haynes and Nitzia Orozco all won committee awards. Great example of learning experiences within our center capitalizing on field work wins.

Gators of the Week: Leader in CREW students bond on Friday

Do good. Friday marked the first Leader in CREW competition in the Swamp with inflatables and team building activities. Hats off to the CREW design team and all the Leader in CREW leaders who supported students as the competed and bonded.

Signing Out Procedures

A reminder to parents regarding signing students out during the school day. Someone from the student's sign out sheet must come in and show ID to dismiss a child. We do not accept phone calls or emails for dismissal. You can come in on Monday to sign your child out during the week but only up until Friday of the same week. Also, if you are dismissing your child during ILT, then it is helpful to have made arrangements with the student ahead of time. We appreciate your help to assist in making this process efficient.

Counseling and Advisement Assignments for Students

Counseling and Advisement Team

The Counseling & Advisement team is working towards a more intentionally focused program to provide students with the best support. Rather than counselors having students in all grade levels (9-12), we are realigning to be able to more appropriately serve students’ transitional needs at the different levels. This realignment will also more closely mirror our CREW design allowing students to stay with their school counselor their 9th and 10th grade years and then have another counselor their 11th and 12th grade years.
