Lee's Summit R7 Parents As Teachers

April 2018

Hello Spring!

Welcome to warmer weather and sunny days! Wait - where is the warmer weather??? With warmer weather on the way, we always want to think of safety when it comes to playgrounds, sun and just being outside. Free play and activities at the playground help children grow in motor, cognitive, and social and emotional development. Teaching children how to play safe rather than just setting up rules helps them to learn ways to prevent injuries. Remember, your kids are watching you, so model safe behavior!

Did you know there are 29 parks in Lee's Summit alone? Click the link below to find information about the parks we have. Don't forget that you can come play at our playground on days we do not have school in session.
