Spotlight Students
With the end of the 1st Quarter approaching, it is time to recognize students for the 1st Quarter Spotlight Award. These awards are for students who model our Franklin Guidelines for Success. This year we're asking ALL TEACHER & PARAEDUCATORS to nominate students to maximize the number of students celebrated throughout the year.
- Check the spreadsheet through this link and enter the student's name/grade. This spreadsheet is essential so students aren't nominated by multiple staff members: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1dXRPKL-vHnDAX8iV0U3SdZXDRemBnRI55-TJDc6PYlo/edit?usp=sharing
- Fill out the form with the appropriate information: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSey2aKKuD295nh7vSViIgeD1S46rmRTTU0TN_Jwis55z51ifw/viewform
- As nominations come in, we will take a picture of the student and staff member together.
- Forms will be posted in the 3rd Floor hallway and included in all our social media publications: Twitter, Facebook, and our e-Newsletter.

"CHAMPS'ing Your Activities
What’s best for kids? A common language/understanding of building and classroom expectations.
In addition, I stress the need to be consistent across all teachers in our CHAMPS language in how we communicate expectations during classroom activities. The brief video below shows an example of how a teacher uses the language to review expectations for an upcoming classroom activity. Take a couple minutes to watch the video and see how you can replicate some of the items in your own classroom.
Homeroom Student Survey (Friday, November 8)
Part of the work of our Foundations' Team is to solicit feedback from our students through surveys. We will do our first set of surveys on Friday, November 8 during Homeroom. To introduce the survey, there will be a video that accompanies the surveys that all staff members should show. In addition to introducing the surveys we will also communicate out the student's hallway data from our 1st Quarter collection. Stay tuned for this video. You can view a copy of this survey in the picture attached.
