as part of African Heritage Week
Come Joint ICC on a trip to the Northwest African Museum
Dance Theatre of Harlem: Field-trip is an event in collaboration with the Hero’s, MSA, BSA, and SJO to celebrate Black history month. In this field you will have the opportunity to learn about "the many accomplishments of African Americans and other minorities who dared to overcome social norms and prejudices to pursue their passion and pave the way for future generations of the world class dancers." The exhibit has more than "250 objects, including costumes, historical photographs, set pieces, and documentary video excerpts from four dramatically-staged ballets that are iconic to the company: A Streetcar Named Desire, Creole Giselle, Dougla and Firebird." Fee entry will be paid for by ICC, Join us. Please bring bus fare because we will be taking the bus to the Museum, if you able to get there on your own you are welcome to do so and we can meet at the Museum.
Date: 2/3/17 from 10:00pm to 3:30pm we will be meeting in front of the "W" by the Global Commons.
