Leading Assessment in Your Building

Creating a Culture of Meaning & Purpose with Assessment

Assessment takes many forms. We know that for far too long, we have immersed our teachers and students with a focus on standardized testing. This has decreased morale and engagement at all levels. We know there are other meaningful forms of assessment that can make teaching more energized and more on target for actionable feedback, but as leaders, we want to know - What are they? What is most important? Where do we start? What does it look like? How do we establish a highly functioning system, a solid culture of meaningful assessment?

Julie Kemp, North Spencer elementary principal/curriculum director, and Jen Jazyk, North Spencer elementary principal, have teamed to share what has worked for them. Please join us on July 27, 2017 for this session scheduled purposefully to begin a new year!
