Mass Reflection
Today Father talked about grapevines. He said that Jesus is the vine and God is the vine grower. We are the branches and God prunes so we bear more fruit of God. If we turn away from God, our branch will die. I learned that if my branch dies, everything will go wrong. -Natalie
Today Father talked about fruit and how grapevines need to be pruned kind of like we do. It made me think of how we are the fruit of God. It also made me think of without God nothing would be possible! -Peyton
In the homily, Father talked about how Jesus is the vine, and we are the branches. A branch cannot bear fruit by itself but only if it remains on the vine, so we cannot bear the fruit of love, the fruit of kindness, and the fruit of discipline, but only if we remain with the vine, Jesus. Father said if we remain in Jesus and his words remain in us, we can ask for whatever we want and it will be done for us. -Jianna

Sports awards and concert
We have rescheduled both events and hope many of you can make it. We recognize that these days and times aren't ideal, but at this point in the year, our opportunities are limited. We want to be sure to celebrate these students in their musical and athletic endeavors.
Sports Awards: All 5-8th grade students who participated in athletics throughout the year will be recognized after Mass this Wednesday, May 17th. Parents are invited to join us for the 8:15am Mass, with awards immediately following.
Band/Choir Concert: Our middle school bands and 3-8th grade Concert Choirs will perform on Thursday, May 18th at 8:15am in the gym. All parents are invited to attend.
I thank you in advance for your understanding in this situation.

- Students entering Kindergarten through Grade 8 will have Summer Homework. You can expect to receive this information via email the end of next week. Summer Homework is due the first day of school.
- School Supply Lists are complete and will also be distributed the end of next week. PTO is offering an opportunity for parents to purchase School Supply Kits online with one simple click. Watch for that information. Ordering through School ToolBox is optional.

The Bully Project
The Bully Project is a non-profit organization that helps dogs in need, but as a non-profit organization, they rely mostly on donations. It would help them if our school would band together and help these dogs by donating dog toys, dog treats, or dog food. To donate, see the teal buckets with dog photos on them and place your donation there.

Gospel Reading this sunday
"If you love me, you will keep my commandments.
And I will ask the Father,
and he will give you another Advocate to be with you always,
the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot accept,
because it neither sees nor knows him.
But you know him, because he remains with you,
and will be in you.
I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.
In a little while the world will no longer see me,
but you will see me, because I live and you will live.
On that day you will realize that I am in my Father
and you are in me and I in you.
Whoever has my commandments and observes them
is the one who loves me.
And whoever loves me will be loved by my Father,
and I will love him and reveal myself to him."
-Jn 14:15-21
