Once again, welcome back to the "One Stop Shop" from your friendly librarian.

The Red Bicycle (One School, One Book)
- Have you read the book with your students?
- What conversations were sparked?
- Any inquiry?
- Any provocations?
- Any ideas for service?
Now:
- If you have not read the book, please do so.
- The season of service projects is upon us. Does this book spark any ideas from your students? If so, please share.
- Send the book home with a student to read and share as a family. Set a schedule. Provide student with a a sticky note to post inside the cover of the book for an reactions or ideas from the family and share upon returning the book to the classroom.
- Look for a bulletin board outside of Mrs. Kraick's room heading toward the cafeteria for more information and a place to share ideas.
Future:
- What acts of service could we as a BSE community organize and fulfill?
- Is there a Bike to School day in our future?

Scholastic Book Fair
Monday, November 12
- Preview day for teachers & students
- Preview for teachers starts at 7:45
Tuesday, November 13th
- 9:30-6:30
Wednesday, November 14th
- 8:00-8:45 am alongside Breakfast with Someone Grand for Families with last names A-K
- 9:30-4:30
Thursday, November 15th
- 8:00-8:45 am alongside Breakfast with Someone Grand for Families with last names L-Z
- 9:30-4:30
Friday, November 16th
- 9:30-12:00
Student Shopping
Students are allowed to purchase during the day. Parents are allowed to show with their children during the specified times outside of the school day.
Teachers to Volunteer to Help Set Up
I am looking for volunteers to help set up for the Book Fair which will be immediately after school on Friday, November 9th. Please send me an email if you are able & willing to help.

Library Checkout/Collaboration
There will be NO regular checkout, nor collaboration during the week of the Book Fair.
Teacher Preview
All teachers are invited to preview the Book Fair before school on Monday, November 12th starting at 7:45. Coffee, juice and light breakfast goodies will be served.
Class Preview & Shopping Times
Please visit the link to sign up for a time for your class to preview the Book Fair. ONLY Monday is a NON shopping day. Please bring your class down to browse/shop Tuesday-Friday. As the week progresses and you only have a few students interested in shopping, please feel free to simply send them down with a reasonable time limit as myself and parent volunteers will there all day.
Computer Science Education Week & Hour of Code
The DOE now has a Computer Science Specialist along with many FREE professional development opportunities which can help you as teachers to address the K-8 computer science standards.
