He had always wanted to see the lands of Western North America-Louisiana purchase. That was when he called Meriwether Lewis for secretary aide to explore those lands.

William Clark
The sidekick of the journey.
Sacagawea
An interpreter of the shoe-shone language.
Encounters and Other
Encounters of the Corps of Discovery
They have encountered with nearly 50 Indian tribes during that journey. That was a good thing because they could trade them for items they needed.
Other
Lewis was a young army captain, and Clark was a former commanding officer.
