Tumbling is a fun and easy sport if you enjoy to run jump and flip. Some basics skills that you need to have in tumbling: you should have some kind of conditioning, you should be able to run fast and jump high. Tumbling dates back to ancient Greek they would use it to train their army for war. The word ‘gymnastics' is derived from a Greek word ‘gymnos' which means ‘naked'. Now gymnastic uniforms are made up of a leotard which is form-fitting .In tumbling you use every muscle in your body that is why you have to have conditioning and other skills .Tumbling is fun and easy if you are able to do those things.
Professinal In The Feild
16-year-old Carly Patterson won the 2004 Olympic gold medal in the Women's All-Around event. Ever since she won the girls USA tumbling team won gold every year. Ten years after becoming an international superstar at barely 16 years old, Patterson describes her life as “very normal.”
Flips
Here are some flips that you have to learn to do when you join tumbling: the back hand spring, punch front, Arial, front full, back tuck, whip, layout, double, back full, and also a round off. Those are some of the basic flips of tumbling. If you practice a lot you might be able to be one of the greats someday.
Events in Tumbling
In the Olympics there are eight different competitive events including the Floor Exercise, Vault, Pommel Horse, Rings, Parallel Bars, Horizontal Bar, Uneven Bars, and the Balance Beam. In the Olympics only men can compete in the Rings, Parallel Bars, Horizontal Bars, and Pommel Horse.In the Olympics only women can compete in the Balance Beam and Uneven Bars. Both men and women can compete in the Floor Exercise and Vault competition in the Olympics.
