Dear Bobcat families,
It's time for another opportunity for me to get a PIE in the FACE! I would love to see ALL SVES families to complete our First Ever SVES Survey. Once we have 100 people respond to the survey, I have my family record me getting one pie in the face. When we receive 200 responses to the survey, I will take two pies in the face. I am craving whipped cream...please provide your feedback, please help me get another pie in the face! The teachers/staff want to know how we have been doing! Please take a few minutes to answer this short survey (10 questions). Your feedback will help us improve in so many areas. Thank you in advance for your communication & for all your support. Our survey will be available until Saturday, November 5th.

Watch Dog Kick-off!
Many Thanks from Overseas...
I received an email from one our parents about the PTA World's Finest Chocolate fundraiser this week and felt it was so important to share with all of our Bobcat families. My husband, Erik retired from the Army after 23 years of service. He and many of our closest friends have served overseas during peace time and in times of war. The men and women that are currently serving or have served in the military hold a very special place in my heart. Thank you for taking the time to share a little bit of Sunset Valley with Lt. Blair and his company.
"I wanted to share the following email I received on behalf of ___ & ____. During our PTA fundraiser, a coworker of mine coordinated an effort to include some our chocolate bars in care packages sent to troops overseas. We also included thank you notes with our Sunset Valley Elementary School logo. I read the letter to ____ & ____ and explained how far our chocolates traveled and what the packages mean to the men and women receiving them. I thought it was awesome that the commanding officer would take the time to send such a letter."
We received the care packages you have so kindly sent to us.The fact that have taken time from your busy schedules and life is very appreciated. The task that you have undertaken to give care package's to my men out of your love for the country & the men serving is amazing.
Hopefully (students' names) you can understand the impact that this has on us; the package's that you assembled in the Great State of Texas traveled half way around the world to United States personnel that are protecting freedom & the American way of life.
We are extremely grateful.
The drive, the effort you put forth, the motivation to do something and the quality of doing something for a reason whether it be big or small is priceless. I hope you can learn by this, as my men & I truly have. We understand that there are many Americans, young and old who believe in our country & our way of life. We are the land of the Free and the home of the Brave for a reason.

Reporting an Absence
ROCK - Message of the Week
Reaching Out with Character and Kindness isn’t just a once a year thing. We want our students, staff and parents sharing the message of R.O.C.K. every day. This year, KellerISD will be sharing a weekly message at all of our schools and in our community. The Weekly R.O.C.K. message will focus on character, kindness and commitments that each of us can make to prevent bullying and harassment in Keller ISD.
Here is this week's message:
A quote about having strong character: "The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education." Martin Luther King, Jr.
