Camp Kesem South Alabama

March 2016 - Hey, Hey, Hey! Listen up, listen up!

Countdown to Camp

There are only three months left until camp, and we are closer and closer to the finish line! We have already had several fundraisers AND selected our bold, passionate, and super fun counselors, which you can meet each week on our Facebook page! Also, we are half way through our awesome counselor training sessions. We've completed 2 out of the 5 sessions, and we are so excited for camp! To keep up with weekly updates and meet our amazing counselors, join our Facebook page "Camp Kesem at the University of South Alabama," if you haven't done so already! We will also be posting camper birthdays on our Facebook page, so stay tuned for these exciting post from us!

Camp this year will be held on June 5-10 at Camp Cosby in Alpine, Alabama. From the messy olympics to canoeing, summer 2016 with Camp Kesem is going to be a blast!

Camper applications are open! We had such an amazing time at camp last summer, and we can't wait to see the new and returning campers! You can register your camper at the link below.

Flashback to last year's camp!

Camp Kesem USA a year ago

Last summer, we had our very first camp in the Montgomery area at Camp Chandler, where we hosted 25 kids ages 6-16. We have been working so hard this year to send even more kids to camp!

One of our counselors said this about camp last year, “Words cannot express how amazing our first week of camp was! Seeing all the kids and parents appreciation proved that! Seeing these kids open up, come out of their shells & comfort zones, making friends, and hearing so many references to "next year" is truly inspiring. This is definitely the highlight of my summer! Who knew just a week could mean so much to some awesome kids that we never knew, but that means so much to us now!”

Also, when asked what everyone was looking forward to on Facebook, a camper responded, “definitely just being able to see everyone again.”

From all of the parents and campers' feedback, as well as the affect that it had on each and every one of us, we appreciate you all for coming and being so excited about this year!

Want to learn a camp song!

We know how excited everyone is about all of the camp games and camp songs, so here is one of our favorites that you can learn before camp! Just wait until camp, when you can see how fun the song is in action!

Hi, my name is Joe, and I work in a button factory

I have a wife, and a dog, and a family

One day, my boss walked up to me and said, "hey Joe, are you busy?"

I said no

She said, "push the button with your right hand" (repeat line)
