What is Underground water?

Underground water is surface water that seeps underground into soil and rock.

How does water get under ground?

When rain falls on the ground it seeps into a upper zone called the " Zone of Aeration "

Then father down into a zone called the " Zone the Saturation " the rain water collects forming underground water.

What is a Water Table?

A water table is a boundry between the two zones of aeration and saturation. Water Tables rises durning wet seasons and fall during dry seasons. Water Tables in wet areas, such as rainforest can be closer to the earth surface whereas in dry places, such as deserts, can be hundreds of feet underground.
