Google Search for Fair Use Images
Here are a few quick steps you can take to make sure your google images search complies with copyright.
- From the google search page, Click on “Settings” at the bottom near the date and time:
- From the popup menu, Click on “Advanced Search”:
- Scroll down until you see the usage right section, Click on “not filtered by license”:
- From this menu select the option that best fits your needs. I recommend “Free to use share or modify”

Free to use or share: Allows you to copy or redistribute its content if the content remains unchanged.
Free to use share or modify: Allows you to copy, modify, or redistribute in ways specified in the license.
Commercially: If you want content for commercial use, be sure to select an option that includes the word "commercially."

Photos for Class
