Summer Learning Opportunities for Teachers!

In the spirit of growing and learning, check out these great opportunities for teachers in the Chicagoland area. There are tons more, but many of these are free or low-cost.. check them out!

Create memories that will last!

I know at the end of each year, we often find ourselves with a lot of great memorabilia for the year, with little inclination to hold onto it. How about making an electronic archive, so that you can share with your future classes, or preserve your memories without the guilt of throwing out so many papers and pictures?

Remember that the lounge, office, and Lexmark color copiers are also scanners. You can scan student work, photos, etc., and the copier will email you a .PDF with all of the pictures, which can then be added to your Drive, a slideshow, etc. iMovie, which is on all of the teacher laptops, allows you drag and edit video clips and pictures in, and export in many different file formats, including straight to YouTube. Lastly, in iPhoto (or Photos, depending on your OS), you can simply drag photos into a slideshow, pick a format, and pick a song. I have a sample slideshow for you below... just some pictures I had in my iPhoto from Mrs. Otto's kindergarten production of "Better Move On Frog". Check it out!
