Obsessive- compulsive Disorder is an anxiety disorder that is a potentially disabling illness that traps people in endless cycles of repetitive thoughts and behaviors. The anxiety created by these thoughts leads to an urgent need to perform certain repetitive behaviors, rituals or routines. OCD is found in about 2.2 adults in America.


Symptoms of OCD are repetitive thoughts and actions. Some of these symptoms include hand-washing until your skin becomes raw, checking doors repeatedly to make sure they're locked, checking the stove repeatedly to make sure it's off, counting in certain patterns, silently repeating a prayer, word, or phrase.
