1st Posting - Upcoming Parent Programs
Heroin & Opioids in Lake County: A panel of regional experts will discuss the drug problems that are affecting Lake County. Local officials, including District 109 Superintendent Mike Lubelfeld, also will be on hand to talk about the local impact. September 15, Deerfield Public Library, 7:00pm
Screenagers Movie Screening: Deerfield Parent Network hosts its first event of the year, a screening of the movie Screenagers, which investigates the struggles families face with social media, video games and internet addiction.

6th Grade Bash! - New Format This Year!
Friday - 9/16/16
This is a great way for 6th graders to meet their classmates.
Join us for snacks, music from Bizar Entertainment, and a class project.
The party is at Shepard after school and costs $8 (purchase online on www.shepardptso.org; Login: For Sale, Virtual Fee Day)

Thank you to everyone who has joined the Shepard PTSO to date. We truly appreciate your support. To those families that have not yet joined, 2016-2017 membership is still open and may be purchased for $25 online at www.shepardptso.org until September 30, 2016. See INSTRUCTION: PTSO-LOGIN on the home page of our website for further information about our online directory for members and login instructions. We encourage you to join the Shepard PTSO today as we need your support in order to continue to provide programs, services and educational items to the Shepard community. Last year, with your support, the PTSO was able to purchase items such as a new AV system, EDU Breakout boxes, and many more. Please also note that membership is required in order to participate in PTSO programs, including Special Lunch. Other items available for purchase include the 6th Grade Bash (9/16), Book Donation-Legacy Book, 8th Grade Dance, Nightlife and more. Items will be for sale for a limited time so please login now.
