Teacher Appreciation Week!
- Guess what time it is?? Teacher Appreciation Week is the first week of May! Let's show our fantastic teachers and staff how great we think they are! We will be providing meals for the teachers everyday next week. Please comment with what you are able to bring. We plan to feed 50 people at each meal. Lunch should be set out by 11:00, but feel free to leave things in the fridge in the morning if you need to drop off early.
Monday is potato bar (potatoes are provided) needs: cheese, sour cream, chili, bacon bits, butter, diced ham, chives, dessert
Tuesday is Taco bar (meat provided) needs: cheese, tomatoes, sour cream, lettuce, beans, rice, chips, queso, salsa, dessert
Wednesday is being provided by Northeast Baptist Church
Thursday is breakfast (set out by 7:30) needs: juice, pastries, bagels, casseroles, fruit
Friday is Italian (spaghetti bake casseroles provided) needs: salad, dressing, garlic bread, dessert
We also need paper goods. Feel free to volunteer something that I may not have included on the list. Cash donations are also great if that is easier. I'll be happy to shop.

News from the Library
It may be the last month of school, but things will continue to be busy as ever in the library!
1st grade has just kicked off their Guided Inquiry unit on human impact on the environment, and 3rd grade is about to start their own unit on famous Oklahomans. Pre-K will be continuing their author study on Eric Litwin, the author of the Pete the Cat series, and Mrs. Barker will be working with 5th grade students to prep their essays for 5th Grade Recognition.
Reminder for parents: While we never charge fines for overdue books, this year, the library will be offering a special incentive for students who have returned ALL their books. During the last two weeks of school, We will be having Ring Pop Parties with those especially responsible students!
