'NO PARKING' SIGNS IN THE AREA: Parking is defined by stopping, standing, even if the vehicle is occupied - if you see a 'No Parking' sign DO NOT PARK THERE.

NO U-TURN: No U-Turn anywhere on Caley in the school zone.

ILLEGAL TURNS:

• Going Eastbound on Caley there's no left turn onto Elmira Circle West.
• Eastbound on Caley no right turn onto South Florence Way.

REMINDERS:

• Vehicles should NOT block driveways or fire hydrants at anytime even if you are in line. Make sure you leave a space between the car in front of you to keep the driveway/fire hydrant clear.
• Vehicles will be cited and towed at owners expense.
• It is a school zone so during morning and afternoon drop off/pickup the speed limit is only 20mph.

Attention all CCA Middle School students: Peer Helpers will begin meeting on Friday August 26, 2022 at 7:15am in Mrs. MacFarland's room. Any middle school students who are interested in participating in our Peer Helper program should plan on attending this meeting. Peer Helpers are a group of Middle School students who are trained in leadership skills in order to help their fellow CCA community. Please email Ms. Yamauchi kyamauchi@cherrycreekacademy.org with any questions. We hope to see you there!

Volleyball and Soccer tryouts for grades 5-8 are Wednesday, August 17, and Thursday, August 18th, after school from 3:30-4:45. You must be registered to try out, and registration will close before tryouts. Both sports will start formal practice once teams are determined on Monday, August 22, 2022. We will send out more information about cross country and esports as their start dates get closer. All games have been updated on the master calendar but are subject to change.

The band will start to meet the SECOND week of school.

Beginner band will have a specific schedule for the month of August.

Monday, August 15 = All new to band students. No instruments needed this first day.

Wednesday, August 17 = Woodwind students only (Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone)

Monday, August 22 = Brass and percussion students only (Trumpet, Trombone, Baritone, Tuba, Drums)

Wednesday, August 24 = All beginner band students will meet each day continuing according to the schedule.

1. Meals have returned to paid, reduced, or free. Please complete a meal application to benefit our program and the district with additional educational funding.

Our 2022 Carnival is a fantastic opportunity to welcome back students and parents with games, bouncy castles and pizza. This year the Carnival will be held on August 26th at the Cherry Creek Academy school grounds and we will be following up with additional information regarding the specifics of the event soon. We will also be raising money for the school with our first Silent Auction during the Carnival. We have already received some fantastic donations, including lift tickets, lunch at the Melting Pot and a meeting with a college prep consultant to name a few. On top of these generous donations, our amazing CCA staff will be offering a chance to bid on lunches with students, becoming a librarian for an afternoon, or VIP parking passes for special events at the school! We are still hoping to receive more donations from the CCA community to make this event as successful as possible!

Please consider donating to our silent auction! We are looking for items we can auction such as gift baskets, gift certificates, services and lessons!

Donation Deadline is August 19, 2022

Donations will count as volunteer hours which will depend on item value.
