Points of Pride

Instructional Focus:

The first two days are "in the books!" While I was walking around, I saw SO many great relationship building, routine establishing activities. While we are looking at the first full week, we still don't need to be in a rush to get to academics.

I truly believe that if we spend time during these first few weeks reviewing and practicing, we will reap the benefits throughout the year. Now, I also know that there's pressure to start, so maybe you could save your WIN time (we don't have assessment data yet) to build relationships and review expectations.

I saw this video for the first time during the summer, and it was painful to watch the first half (and I know that no one at SPE does this intentionally). What stood out to you? Specifically, how do you ensure that you have at least one positive interaction with every student daily? Email me for a jeans pass. These types of daily interactions with students are what build a positive culture focused on learning for the whole child.
