THIS WEEK AT SPES
FROM THE DESK OF DONNA LEMAIRE, PRINCIPAL
GENEROUS SERVICE
Last week many St. Pius parents were volunteering for several major events to benefit our students. From the crawfish dinner line to the Derby-themed gala many parents put in countless hours and shared so many of their talents and generous work time to help. The benefits of these selfless efforts will go directly to the students. It was a great gift of time, talent and love. It is also a great lesson to our students and community about values and beliefs. You probably remember all the volunteer efforts of your parents and how you benefited from the efforts and even more from the example of serving. Someday, years from now, you will hopefully be attending Grandparents Day and seeing your children helping. Or you will be enjoying the Gala or crawfish that your children will be serving to help their children here at St. Pius.
Faith, values and service are modeled from one generation to another. I extend my gratitude and the gratitude of the St. Pius Community to the many people who made this year a year of blessings through fundraising efforts and volunteering.
May the Lord who called you to this service continue to bless you and your family.
