HV Update 6-2-23
A message from your principal, Mrs. Stager
It a short week but there was plenty of celebration for the fifth graders as we begin to wind down the year. On Thursday, HV hosted "Battle of the Books." We are very proud that the HV team of the "Warriors" finished second place. Today, the fifth graders traveled to PV for orientation. There is a lot coming up in June so be sure to check the calendar below for important dates.
Enjoy your weekend!

Inview Testing - Second and Fourth Grades
Dear Second and Fourth Grade Families,
The Pequannock Township Elementary Schools will be administering the InView assessment to Second and Fourth Grade students. InView assessments are nationally norm referenced tests that assess cognitive abilities in the following areas: Verbal Reasoning (words and context), Nonverbal Reasoning (sequences and analogies), and Quantitative Reasoning. The test is administered in short segments and the total time spent on testing ranges from 95 to 105 minutes. The test will be administered online in short segments throughout the month of June.
Test scores from the InView measure an individual’s ability to learn new tasks and to solve problems independently. It is not an academic achievement test used to determine progress in the approved curriculum. Thus, there is no preparation required or recommended for the test.
Data from the InView can disclose discrepancies between a student’s predicted level of academic ability and his or her actual achievement. This information, coupled with classroom performance, can help in planning instructional programs that support and/or enhance student achievement, such as Response to Intervention (RtI), Gifted and Talented (G&T), and other related programs and services.
Should you have any questions regarding the InView, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s teacher or me.
Best,
Allison Stager
