Walking Together in Catholic Education
As for us, we will walk in the name of the Lord our God forever and ever. — Micah 4:5.
And so it is that Catholic education exists; for the purpose of walking with our children, families and communities in the name of the Lord our God. In the year that has passed, we have walked together through the synod. We have also walked together on the path of reconciliation led and witnessed by our Holy Father. This year’s theme recognizes all we have learned and speaks to our forward momentum in solidarity.
The gift of publicly funded Catholic education is a treasure that we hold dear. In unity we provide authentic Catholic education to more than 183,000 students across the province. With our shepherds, the bishops of Alberta, trustees, superintendents, educators, clergy, parents, parishioners, and stakeholders we lift up the faith-based education of our students in prayer and commit our energies to ensuring the future in Catholic schools.
Come walk with us.
St Joseph, pray for us.

Month of the Holy Rosary
October 7 is the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary. The Church chose that day and, apparently by extension, the month of October to honor Our Lady of the Rosary because a great victory took place on October 7. The decision to designate October as the month of the Rosary apparently stems from the Church’s desire to extend its thanksgiving to Our Lady for victory in the Battle of Lepanto from one Sunday to a whole month. In addition, when Our Lady appeared in Fatima in May 1917, she identified herself as Our Lady of the Rosary.
We will gather as a school community Every Wednesday at noon via google meet to pray the Rosary together.
The LINK will go out in announcements the day before.
