Geography Bee
The National Geographic Society holds the National Geography Bee for students in grades 4-8 in thousands of schools across the United States. Last week Trexler students participated in the classroom level preliminary round of the Geography Bee to determine who would advance to the school Bee. The top three students in each grade competed Tuesday to determine which two students would advance to the county wide Bee. Congratulations to seventh grader and returning champion Jessica Housel for winning the school competition! She will be accompanied by runner up Ian Frederick, also in seventh grade, at the county wide Geography Bee taking place on Thursday, December 8th at 7:00 PM at Trexler. All are welcome to attend! In addition, as the school winner, Jessica has the opportunity to advance to the state wide National Geographic Geography Bee upon completion of a written test to be given later this month.
