Carbohydrates gives you energy. It is found in a large variety of unhealthly and healthly foods. It is found in bread,beans,milk,cookies,corn, etc. They come a a variety of forms like sugars, fibers, and starches. It's important to eat carbohydrates from healthly foods like apples, whole wheat bread, etc than follwing a strict diet.
