THE CHERRY TIMES
AUTHOR BEN GUTERSON TO COME TO MCCV - NOVEMBER 7 (GRADES 4-8)
On Wednesday, Nov 7th, your students in grades 4-8 will have the opportunity to meet and listen to entertaining and clever author Ben Guterson, whose first book, has gotten rave reviews, and whose sequel comes out in December. We've enjoyed the first book - it reminds us of Mysterious Benedict Society - and can't wait to read more!
If your child is interested in purchasing a book, have them give this form and the payment to his/her teacher. Checks should be made out to Copperfield's; credit and debit cards can be taken at the event. After his presentation, Ben will be happy to autograph your child's copy!

FASHION ICON/AUTHOR EVA CHEN TO COME TO MCCV - NOVEMBER 9 (GRADES K-3)
On Friday November 9th, your K-3 student will have the opportunity to meet and listen to the amazing Eva Chen as she debuts her brand new picture book, Juno Valentine and the Magical Shoes . The book is SO fun, and Eva? Eva's literally a fashion icon, formerly an editor at Vogue and editor of Lucky magazine, and now the fashion editor for Instagram - she's literally front row at every major fashion show from New York to London to Paris. AND she's designed a new kids clothing line for Janie and Jack and has two young kids. She's nothing if not in demand, 24-7! (check her out on Instagram. Her 'mom' posts are hilarious- and, refreshingly, she doesn't pretend it's easy.)
If your child is interested in purchasing a book, have them give this form and the payment to his/her teacher. Checks should be made out to Copperfield's; credit and debit cards can be taken at the event. After her presentation, she will be happy to autograph your child's copy!

Parents of Third, Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Grade Students:

Our district screens all students in 3rd grade, and any 4th-6th grade students who desire to be retested. Students are screened through the use of the CogAT (Cognitive Abilities Test). For 4-6 grade re-screening, please contact your child's teacher for more information.
