Ongoing Homework Reminders for this week
Students will have daily assignments.
The long term assignments for the next week are:
Turner's Math: Mon-Thurs Daily HW
Social Studies: Study nightly; eClass discussion "Propaganda" assigned Wednesday 1/18, due 1/25; Revolutionary War Project Due 3/13
Science: Study nightly; eClass discussion will be assigned Wednesday 1/25
Reading: 20 Minutes + Genre Bingo (Due March 9th); Weekly Check in (eClass) due Fridays
General Announcements
- We need donations for our ticket drawing. Please send in items that your child would be excited to get if we call their name.
- Please email us about birthday treats or any other special snacks you plan to send in so we can confirm allergies first.
- Make sure you check our Google Calendar on our website 1-2 times per week.

From Ms. Fenwick
Reading: We will continue our new Informational Unit in Reading this week! We will continue taking notes on our topics and learning about perspective using primary sources. Our Genre Bingo Card has started over for this semester on a brand new blue card! Also don't forget that a Reading Check-In on eCLASS is due every Friday under the Third Nine Weeks. The Wordly Wise Quiz for Lesson 9 will be on 1/27.
Writing: We will continue our new Informational Writing Unit this week! We will continue drafting our very own Historical Nonfiction books!
Grammar: We will talk about adverbs using a sentence from a book we will read together, Grace for President.
Spelling: We will start Unit 3.2. The test for this list of words will be on 2/3. Don't forget that you can also access the spelling words on my eCLASS course page.

- Math: Fractions Unit: Next week we will add/subtract mixed numbers and multiply fractions! Additional resources are on our website. Test: Jan 31
- SS: Road to Revolution. This unit includes the chain of events and significant people that led to the American revolution. We are 2/3 of the way through the events and we'll use the next two weeks to tie it all together. Additional resources may be found on our website! Test: Feb 3 Rev. Project due 1/13. Have your child show you our Google Classroom for full details!
- Science: Light: Students have loaded their science journals, experimented, read for background knowledge and now we're tying it all together! Additional resources may be found on our website! Test: Jan 27
