Prime Time Reading - Grades K-2

Prime Time Reading for K-2 is TONIGHT, Friday 2/8 from 6-8 pm (get there after 5:45 to sign in)! Remember to bring a favorite book, flashlight and blanket for flashlight reading starting promptly at 6. Kids can wear school appropriate PJs, too, but sneakers are best for the gym activity. Home & School Meeting - Monday 2/11

Please join us on Monday 2/11, 7-8 pm for our monthly Home & School meeting. BABYSITTING WILL BE PROVIDED. We will be discussing recent and upcoming events at Vernfield as well as hearing the Principal's Report from Dr. Graf. Committee chair openings for next year will be announced.


We have an urgent need for nominees for the March Board elections and the current open Treasurer's position. Please give consideration to a position in order to insure that the Home & School continues to be well-run and can support the students and school in all the ways we have been able to in the past. Feel free to contact a current board member to find out what it is all about! Details at the meeting.

Designer Bag Bingo Event Raffle Donations

Donations have been pouring in for our Designer Bag BINGO event raffle. Some of the early highlights? Vouchers for Ironpigs tickets, a gift certificate for a manicure at B&J Nails and a gift card for Lehigh Valley Grand Prix with many more on their way.

Sundae Bar

Some HSA moms made Vernfield students very happy last week when they helped with the Sundae Bar at lunch. Kids lined up for hot fudge, peaches, Oreo pieces, sprinkles, whipped cream and a cherry.


And all the moms agreed that they received the most please and thank yous from the fifth grade!


Thanks to all of our volunteers for helping out and special thanks for Juliet Kinch for organizing the volunteers! There are still some slots left for the May Sundae Bar if you want to be a part of this sweet event. You can sign up here.

SACE Winter/Spring Evening Classes -- The Winter-Spring semester begins later this month with more than 100 interesting classes for all ages. Beat the winter doldrums and learn something new. Bring a friend to join in the fun! Look through the Winter/Spring 2019 Brochure and register online! Or, watch for a brochure in the mail. Be sure to register early, as many classes fill quickly.
