Upcoming Dates

April 1st & 2nd--Personalized Learning Days; no school

April 5th-9th -- Spring Break

5th Grade Parents:

Please join us Monday, March 29th at 9am in the cafeteria for a meeting regarding 5th Grade Graduation! We will be assigning committee heads and volunteers at that time, and need as much help as possible! If you can't make the meeting, but want to volunteer, please email Jackie Jimenez at or Lauryn Burkhalter at Thank you so much!

Cafe and Ice Cream are BACK!

In an effort to safely allow classes to get to eat in the cafe, we have created a schedule for two grade levels a week to eat in the cafe. For our larger grade levels/classes, we have split them into two weeks. Next week, it will be Kindergarten and 5th (Hagauer and Dixon) in the Cafe.

We will sell ice cream to the assigned grade levels in the cafe ONLY. The homeroom teachers will let you know if they have set certain days of the week for ice cream. Ice cream is $1 and we ask that you please send in small bills.

BIRTHDAY ICE CREAM PASSES--If your child has a birthday and you would like to purchase ice cream for the class to celebrate, please send in $1 per student in the class and email the homeroom teacher to coordinate.

Parking Lot Work Over the Next Two Weekends

Braelinn's parking lot will be getting some work done this weekend (March 27). All vehicles, cars and busses, will need to be removed from the parking lot by Saturday morning.

Personalized Learning Days April 1 and 2

Our employees are scheduled to receive their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine on Thursday, April 1. Due to the large number of staff who will be out of their buildings to get vaccinated, students will participate in personalized learning from home on April 1.

Side effects are more common with the second dose, so due to the fact that there might be a lot of absences following the second vaccination, students will also participate in personalized learning from home on April 2.

Teachers will communicate assignments and expectations to students for the April 1 and April 2 personalized learning day.

We understand that these unscheduled personalized learning days may be an inconvenience for some families. However, the health and safety of our students and staff is a top priority.

We believe that allowing our employees the opportunity to get vaccinated will make our schools safer and healthier for everyone.

We appreciate your understanding, and the support you have given to our schools during such a difficult and uncertain time. We are hopeful that as more people are vaccinated, COVID-19 will soon be behind us and we can look forward to brighter days ahead.

Career Fair Info from Mrs. Wible

This year, we are doing something a little different for Career Day. We will be hosting a Virtual Career Day for all Fayette County Elementary School students. We would love to have Braelinn represented with some great career videos. Please consider making a short video addressing all elementary school students and discussing your career. Our students love seeing parents and family members sharing with their classmates about their careers. If you have any questions or would like some help with video preparation, please feel free to email Heather Wible at
