Dear 2022-23 Kindergarten Families!


If you are a new family, I'd like to be the first to offer an official welcome to the Archer Glen community. If you are a returning family with a newly enrolled younger sibling, we are very happy to continue partnering with you to give your child the best educational experiences we can.


This special edition newsletter is to provide our new and returning families with the information you need to successfully start the school year with your soon-to-be Kindergarten student. You are always welcome to reach out by calling the Archer Glen front office at 503-825-5100 or, during the summer, email Sandi Emmert at slemmert@sherwood.k12.or.us.


Also, please feel free to share this newsletter with any families with a Kindergarten age child who may not have heard about Kindergarten registration. Thank you!

Registration for our incoming Kindergarten class is available online using the link below. Incoming Kindergarten students must turn 5 prior to September 1. Registering early helps the school and district start planning for the fall.


Online Kindergarten Registration


During online registration, new families will create a Sherwood ParentVUE account. Parents of current and former Sherwood students will log in with their existing ParentVUE account. Please call the Archer Glen front office at 503-825-5100 or email Sandi Emmert at slemmert@sherwood.k12.or.us if you have any questions.


Paper Registration

Families are also welcome to register using paper registration. Paper registration packets can be picked up from the Archer Glen front office. See below for front office summer availability.

Kinder Playdates

Kinder Playdates are informal meet ups for incoming Kindergarten students and their families. Students and the families will have a chance to meet staff and other families, do some arts and crafts together, and play. No registration is required. Kinder Playdates will be held on July 27 and August 15 from 5:00 to 6:00pm on the Archer Glen playground.

Kinder Camp

The Kinder Camp is a 2-hour classroom experience for incoming Kindergarten students. Students will have the opportunity to meet both Archer Glen Kindergarten teachers, see the classroom, meet future classmates, and participate in fun activities. Students will attend one of two Kinder Camp days, either on August 15 or August 16th from 9:00 to 11:00am at Archer Glen.


Registration can be found on the Summer Enrichment page under Kinder Camp. You will be asked to select a camp date, either August 15 or August 16. If you have more than one incoming kindergartener that would like to attend, please complete one form for each child. Registration is required and closes on August 1st.

Archer Glen Front Office Summer Availability

The Archer Glen front office is closed for the summer from June 22nd to August 15th. The front office will reopen on August 16th. For urgent assistance, please visit our District Office located at 21920 SW Sherwood Blvd. District Office is open Mon-Thurs, 8:00am to 4:00pm.

School Boundaries

If you’re enrolling your student or looking to move to Sherwood, you may locate the schools for a home address using our online Boundary Map. Enter your address in the upper left corner to search. Contact Kami Golden at kgolden@sherwood.k12.or.us or 503-825-5011 with boundary questions.

School Day Schedule

The school day begins at 7:55 a.m. with doors opening at 7:45 for general arrival. Students eating breakfast at school may arrive as early as 7:30 a.m. The school day ends at 2:15 p.m., with the exception of Wednesday when school dismisses at 1:15.
