Follett Destiny (Online Library Catalog)

Most computers have the Destiny icon on the desktop. A link is also provided under favorites in Internet Explorer.
This link will list all of the books in Central's library collection - All students may log in with their Destiny username and school id# allowing them to place holds, check account status remotely, create lists of books and reviews online and also access the Follett Shelf audiobook and ebook collection. Training using Destiny will begin soon with the 7th grade. Please let me know If you want a quick refresher for the 8th grade.

Follett Audiobooks - Updated Information
Follett Audiobooks are a downloadable audiobook collection. Audiobooks can be streamed online or the app can be downloaded onto a mobile device. This was Catalist Digital last school year.

ThinkCERCA - free version is a website that provides a huge selection of subject-related articles to read. It aims to help students grades 4-12 develop critical thinking and writing skills by focusing on all texts as arguments. The articles can be filtered by grade level. A read aloud feature available.
News-O-Matic is a free app that posts five news stories -- from world political news to celebrity stories -- on its main page each day. It is geared toward lower reading level students. There is a read aloud feature available in both English and Spanish.
