ACO North Pole Toy Drive

Olson is partnering with Allen Community Outreach to collect new, unwrapped gifts for children and teens. Olson will collect gift donations from Monday, November 28th through Friday, December 8th. We appreciate you supporting our community!

Join us for a morning of "Whoville Entertainment" brought to you by the Olson PTA Saturday, 12/10 from 9-11:30am ❤️💚

Students will have physical challenges, mental challenges and design challenges based on their age group. They may learn about new cultures or look at existing topics through a new lens.

Parent volunteers will be helping that day as students move through stations led by some of our teachers.

All students will have lunch in their classrooms that so there will be NO LUNCH VISITORS.

You'll hear a lot of exciting stories when the day is over!

Hi, my name is Nicole Oliver, I am Olson’s School Counselor. I can be reached via phone or email, at 972-562-1800 or Nicole.Oliver@allenisd.org.

I am available to students for a variety of needs and they are welcome to see me any time they need. I am also available to help parents. Please reach out to me any time with questions or concerns.

Empathy! Empathy is defined as an action of understanding, being aware of, and being sensitive to the feelings, thoughts, and experiences of another person. Empathy is about understanding what it is like to be in another person’s place or position.

In order to show others empathy, we need to understand what they are feeling and respond in kindness. We interact with people every day who have needs, need understanding, or need to be listened to. As we move through our day, we need to pay attention to what is being said and unsaid, as well as what is happening around us.

This time of year, we are finding people in need almost daily. By being empathetic, we take the time to let those around us know that we care about them. This month, show your children what it means and how it feels to do something to impact the lives of others by listening, doing something or “walking in someone else’s shoes.”
