Flushing Toilets Throughout Time

The Introdumptory of Toilets
There have been toiLOTS of toilets. Now, the very first ever created toilet was made a very long time ago. From Ancient Egypt with limestone toilets for the rich and stools with holes for the poor, to modern toilets in the 21st century, toilets have evolved. But the very first flushing toilet was invented in 1596 by John Harrington. John Harrington's idea sadly failed and flushing toilets did not become common until the very late 19th century.
