Lexia is Working!
Thank you for ensuring your child completes his/her daily time in Lexia during asynchronous learning time. Lexia is available through the Clever app on your child's iPad. Here are some stats to show the efficacy of the program so far:
- The week of Dec. 7-11, 69% (319) of our students met their time usage targets.
- Since October, the % of students working below grade level in Lexia has gone from 41% down to 33%
The most telling statistic is the correlation between units gained + skills and time in the program.
- Students meeting their usage time averaged a gain of 130 units + 7 critical reading skills each.
- Students NOT meeting their usage time only averaged a gain of 46 units + only 2 critical reading skills each.
Please help us get and keep all of our students reading at grade level this year by ensuring they are accessing Lexia 15-20 min. per day. It IS working! To learn more about Lexia and supporting your child's reading, CLICK HERE.
