What a FABULOUSLY fun-filled and busy week!! I want to, for the hundredth time ;) tell you what a wonderful class you are! I truly could not love and appreciate you more! You all come to school excited to learn and are beyond motivated and engaged. I am one lucky teacher!
Check out the following for some important class news. Have a great, long weekend. Remember why we honor Martin Luther King, Jr. on Monday!
Homework this week
Study Spelling Words. Remember to study your weekly spelling words (using choice menu or Spelling City). If you did well on pretest you have your individualized words to study for Friday's test.
Lexia: You must complete 20 minutes of Lexia each night so you can complete your goal by the end of the week. You may absolutely choose to read as well, just as long as you've passed their goal by end of the week.
Dream House Project: This week we are continuing our focus on multiplication, division, and area. Here’s a fun project where you will design your own blueprint for your Dream House. Please use the graph paper and blueprint paper (blue construction paper) sent home on Friday. Please read directions here carefully.

Next Tuesday: SEES 3rd Grade Native American Day- Tues. Jan. 26th
We are excited to announce that 3rd grade will be hosting their “Native American Day” on Tuesday, January 26. This is a day where students will learn about the Native American culture through many hands on activities. To make this event a success we need volunteers to help run the various activity stations. If you are interested in helping out, please sign up for a time here. Thank you for helping bring history to life for our 3rd graders! We are looking forward to this fun and educational experience!
Also, we are in need of donations of cardboard and Ziploc baggies. If you have extra cardboard around the house, please send it in, cut to 8.5 x 11 inches (preferably not corrugated – the kind on the back of a paper tablet works best). We also need sandwich size baggies to separate clay for one of the activities. Thanks in advance for your contributions.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
