Helpful Tips
#1 Be sure you have completed online registration http://www.nisdtx.org/enrollment
#2 Provide proof of residency. Email tjeffers@nisdtx.org with questions
#3 Log on to Home Access Center to see the tentative schedule
#4 Final schedules will be available the first day of school for all students, so if you can't come, don't worry! We will get your student off to a great start on Tuesday morning!
First Day of School
Tuesday, August 20:
Doors Open at 8 am.
Instructional Hours are 8:50 am to 4:10 pm.
Office Hours are 8 am to 4:30 pm.
Please talk with your student about your expectations for how they will go home at the end of the school day (walk, ride, carpool, bus, etc.). Bus information is emailed to parents who registered for bus service in their online registration and who qualify for bus service based on their distance from campus.
All students, staff, and visitors wear their district issued ID badges in the building at all times.
8 to 8:20: Early arrivers go to the cafeteria. Breakfast service begins at 8 am.
8:20 to 8:45: 6th graders go to the cafeteria. 7th graders go to the small gym. 8th graders go to the competition gym. Breakfast service continues in the cafeteria.
8:50: Tardy Bell rings and access is through the front doors only.
- Front of school is our designated drop off and pick up for car riders.
- Back of school is our designated drop off and pick up for bus riders.
- Bike riders and skateboarders are encouraged to wear helmets, stay on sidewalks, refrain from earbud and device use while riding, and walk their wheels when on property (to help with visibility due to high car volume at cross streets). Bike racks (bring your own lock) are at the back of the building, and the skateboard rack is in the CAPS center indoors.
- Walkers are encouraged to stay on sidewalks and refrain from earbud and device usage while walking.
Parents and students, please be mindful of crosswalk attendants and their directions. Our goal is to keep all students safe, including upon arrival and dismissal.
What's for lunch? Breakfast? Snack?
For students who use our food services, here is the link to detailed information about our program, including prices, breakfast service, and free/reduced lunch information.
Students have time in between classes to eat a quick snack from home (fruit, trail mix, etc.), but there is not a designated snack break like in elementary school. We have water fountains and water bottle filling stations in each academic hallway. Vending machines are not accessible during the school day.

Important Updates to Entrances on NISD Campuses
This year, families, volunteers and visitors to Northwest ISD campuses will notice an added layer of security in the main entrances of every building. The entry call station is funded by the 2017 bond and will be required for every person to use as they enter the building. Please watch this video to show how to use the new safety feature. We appreciate your support as we continue to make NISD a safer environment for all of our children.
School Supply Info (including PE/Athletics)
PE and Athletics Uniform: Second Opportunity to Order
Students who purchased uniforms in the spring will receive their uniforms during the first week of school.
For those who still need to order:
PE: https://wilsonpe19.itemorder.com (see graphic above)
Athletics: https://wilsonath19.itemorder.com (see graphic below)
There are several items for purchase but only the t-shirt and shorts are required. The store will close on August 30th.
When you purchase the item it will say it's being shipped to Justin Texas. That is where our athletic offices are located. They then will be shipped to Wilson Middle School. The August orders will not be delivered until late September at the earliest, and students can wear black shorts and a grey shirt in the meantime.
**Football: do not order the girdle from online at this point. It will arrive too late in the season.
Questions: email Campus Athletic Coordinators DErb@nisdtx.org (boys) and kimberly.north@nisdtx.org (girls).
