A Very Busy Week at Julian Curtiss!
What an exciting week at Julian Curtiss! I often refer to our school as a “Pearl”
meaning “a precious thing" or "the finest example of something." Our "Pearl" is formed with a professional and caring staff, an involved parent group and a supportive community! We are the finest example of a school community.
On Thursday our upcoming kindergarten students for 2018-2019 came to visit! As Mrs. Brush stated, “Our future Eagles are ready to fly!” We are looking forward to having these new students and their parents join our wonderful school community!
Grandparent's Day
“Young people need something stable to hang on to - a culture connection, a sense of their own past, and a sense of their own future. Most of all, they need what their grandparents can give them. “ Anonymous
We had such a successful Grandparent’s Day! Our grandparents were treated to an extensive breakfast put together by our volunteers, along with a video of all of our students explaining why they love their grandparents. There were many tears of joy in the audience. Grandparents were also treated to a medley of songs from The Sound of Music by our very own honor choir, The Choraleers.
Thank you to Valerie Rimmer, Doris Meinelt, Bevan Talbott, Jessie Bennett and their army of volunteers. What a beautiful day!
